Seasons...
What does that word make you think of? Do you get a mental image of a snowy, winter day or of a crisp spring afternoon? Can you practically smell the fresh air? Are you smiling?
The changing seasons lend a rhythm to our lives. As one season changes into another we shift our lives accordingly – putting away winter boots in favor of cute, colorful sandals. We anxiously await the first cold snap of fall so we can put on our sweaters again.
We quilters are motivated by the changing seasons to make different kinds of quilts.
Whether for the bed or wall, we like to have quilts that reflect the changing seasons. Bright, cheerful quilts make us think of spring. Warm, earthy colors remind us of fall.
The nine quilts in this book are divided between the four seasons. Each quilt celebrates a different part of the year. We hope you enjoy them.
