Seven Starry Sisters

My Seven Starry Sisters quilt is a variation of the traditional design. I trimmed the blocks to bring the stars closer together and added a dash of color with sashing strips.

This pattern can be used in a variety of ways. You can set the blocks together as I did or use your imagination and play with them. My quilt is feels like the 4th of July, but if you sashed the same blocks with green, it would feel like Christmas. No matter how you make it, I think you will really enjoy this quilt!

Complete instructions and the full-size applique pattern are included in the 20-page PDF ePattern.

Magen's Flower Garden

Linda re-discovered hexagons when she made this quilt for her neice, Magen. The flowers are made using the English paper piecing technique where fabric is basted to stiff paper hexes that are then whip-stitched together. Once made, the flowers are appliqued to the quilt. Fast, fun, happy!
