About Becky Goldsmith
Becky met Linda Jenkins, her partner in Piece O’ Cake Designs, at a meeting of the Green Country Quilters’ Guild in Tulsa, OK, in 1986. They started Piece O' Cake in 1994 and, since then, have published more than 30 books and hundreds of patterns, including 7 Blocks of the Month. They continue to work together on books and patterns. Additionally, Becky has recently finished writing a book on her own, The Quilter’s Practical Guide to Color.
Becky is an award-winning quilter who travels to teach quilting both nationally and internationally. Her classes are always interesting and informative, with an emphasis on teaching techniques that help you improve your sewing skills without making you crazy.
Becky says that, for all of us, making quilts is interesting, fulfilling, and challenging—and that being a member of the quilting community is an added bonus. She never imagined that being a quilter would become her life’s work, but she’s so happy that it did!

About Piece O' Cake
We (Linda Jenkins & Becky Goldsmith) met at a meeting of the Green Country Quilter's Guild in Tulsa, OK, in 1986. Linda (on the right) had just sold the beauty shop that she had owned for 20 years and was ready to quilt seriously. Becky was new to Tulsa and fresh out of her first quilting class. We both became very active in Guild activities and over the years became very good friends. For those of you who would like to make more quilting friends, go to a Guild meeting and raise your hand when volunteers are asked for. You never know when you will make a friend for life!
Piece O' Cake Designs has grown in leaps and bounds from that first block to include many books, blocks of the month, and new quilt patterns. And we're always busy designing even more new and exciting quilts. We hope you enjoy them!
