Piece O' Cake Quilts
This is an amazing needle threader! It has two openings - one for larger needles and one for smaller/applique needles. The best part about this threader is that when you put your thread into the thread groove, it "pops" into place and is held there while you push the lever to thread your needle. Trust me, you will love it!
This video shows how to use this threader with applique thread.
Watch to see how to use it with thicker threads. The package also includes instructions.
The part of the threader that does the work is a flat piece of bent metal that slips through the eye of the needle. It is sturdier and easier to see than the typical fine wire that is in most threaders.
The flat piece of metal is big enough that it only works on a big needle with a long eye. It only works with one of the needles that I carry, but that's enough for me :-).
This threader fits the #5 Tulip Embroidery Needle. I use it with #12 and #16 perle cotton and floss. You might also be able to use it with thicker threads and this needle, but these are the threads I have threaded successfully.

This needle threader will thread very fine needles (size 9-12). The case slides open to reveal a clever mechanism. Simply insert the needle and lay the thread in the groove. Pressing lightly on the lever directs a shaped pin into the thread through the needle eye.
It's important to put the needle in correctly! Click here to see a video of how to use this threader. The package also includes instructions.
This thread cutter can be worn as a pendant which is very handy when you are traveling. Or you can hang a scissor fob or tassel from it to make it easy to find in your bag.
A student showed me another way to use it. Turn it upside down and insert the stem into a spool. It's the fastest way I've found to cut apart chain pieced units!
