Ball Point Awl with Maple Handle
This sewing tool is handy when your fingers are too big! Use it to guide fabric under the presser foot, when removing foundation papers, and to help turn fabric edges when using glue. It can also be used as a seam ripper. Insert the the smooth tip into every 4th or 5th stitch and slide it down the shaft of the awl until the thread pops.
I like this tool better than a stiletto because of it's rounded point that doesn't catch on the fabric. The thickness of the base of the awl, along with the grooves, makes it easier to control.
The hand-turned wood handle feels marvelous in your hand!
If I run out of stock, I can get more but it takes time. Please send me an email (firstname.lastname@example.org) to let me know that you would like an awl with the maple handle. Thank you.
