Efina was developed for hand appliqué. It is a 60wt 2-ply 100% Egyptian Cotton, made exclusively from the highest calibre extra-long staple Egyptian Cotton. Efina is strong thread that is uniform in diameter (no lumps or bumps). It has a visible twist, but that's OK. It's perfect for English paper piecing and is a wonderful option for hand appliqué. You may also like it for hand piecing.

Efina is a little thinner than Superior's Masterpiece but it does not come in bobbin sets. I tend to work from the Masterpiece bobbin sets and supplement with Efina.
