Tilda's Sanctuary Fall/Winter 2024 collection is lovely and ultra blendable. I'll be mixing them with my Liberty of London, and beyond. The colors are softer and cozier to match the seasons, while still feeling clean and light —Tilda does this so well!
One of the things I love about Tilda's designs is how easily they mix with other fabrics in my stash. I used a lot of the Tilda fabrics in the background of Steve's Birds, and I've been adding them into the appliqué of my new BOM for 2025. I can't wait to get this new Tilda washed and up on the design wall! I think the greens are going to be particularly good, and there is so often not enough green.
This soft, muted autumn winter collection is all about feeling safe, cozy and grounded in your sanctuary. The tones of caramel, rhubarb, eggplant and greygreen, with ornamental patterns combined with woodland scenes and florals, create a peaceful homey look perfect to create your ideal sanctuary.
I wash and dry all my new fabric before sewing, and these are no exception. The video below explains why I always wash my fabric.
