These new bobbins from Wonderfil are Bernina compatible. They hold 165 yards of thread—the Masterpiece bobbins hold half that. I will be using both kind of bobbins interchangeably for my hand appliqué. Between them there are 30 different colors.

Efina was developed for hand appliqué. It is a 60wt 2-ply 100% Egyptian Cotton, made exclusively from the highest calibre extra-long staple Egyptian Cotton. Efina is strong thread that is uniform in diameter (no lumps or bumps). It has a visible twist, but that's OK. It's perfect for English paper piecing and is a wonderful option for hand appliqué. You may also like it for hand piecing.

Wonderfil has not made bobbins with all the Efina colors yet, and I don't know if they will. There are more and different colors of Efina on spools here.
