The colors in this pack are grayed, or 'dusty', and will work with grayer color palettes and fabrics.
Included are: #1984 dusty rose, #3305 pale sky blue, #4228 dusty teal, #5229 dusty celery, #7944 mauve, #8017 light dusty purple, #8026 dusty purple, #8327 taupe. (FYI: the dusty purples are taupy-purples.)
I use this thread for big-stitch hand quilting, to make visible applique stitches on cotton fabric, and in wool applique.
Don't forget to order needles. My favorite needle with this thead is the #9 Bohin Crewel. Use either the Colonial or Roxane wire needle threader with these needles and this thread.
Presencia Perle Cotton is 100% extra-long staple Egyptian cotton, mercerized for strength, colorfast, bleachfast* and shrinkfast. One 10-gram ball of size 12 perle cotton has approximately 136 yards of thread.
