My good friend, Jacquie Klassen, is a craftswoman who works with wood. Her love of wood and attention to detail is much the same as it is with us and quilting. Jacquie, who also makes the Handcrafted Sewing Boxes, and I are both fans of quality pencils. These pencil boxes have been designed to hold our favs. Watch the video below for more.
Our boxes are designed with Blackwing products in mind. One box holds up to 16 pencils, a One Step Sharpener, a Two Step Sharpener, Handheld Eraser, and 3 Point Guards.
Choose from either:
The Pencil Box (ready for you to fill)
or even easier
The Loaded Pencil Box, which includes...
- 2 extra firm (Naturals) graphite pencils, for paper or (light touch) fabric
- 2 firm (602) graphite pencils, for paper or (lightly touch) fabric, takes a little less pressure than the extra firm for a darker line
- 2 soft (Matte) graphite pencils, for paper, takes even less pressure for a darker thicker line
-
a Handheld Eraser (best. eraser. ever.)
-
1 FREE Point Guard! (Gold, Black, or Silver, depends on what we have in stock)
Not included, a sharpener, which you will want to choose for yourself, and add to your order. The Long Point (Two-Step) and the One-Step both have their own benefits. If you don't already know, click this video. Hint: it can hold both.
Be aware that pencil sharpeners do get dull. Replacement blades are available for both Long-Point and One-Step sharpeners.
The Loaded Pencil Box makes an easy gift for you to give, or set yourself up right.
Box Dimensions: 9 1/2˝ x 3 3/4˝ x 2 1/8˝
Each box is unique and beautiful and, because of that, please do let us choose a box for you. If you have a very, very strong preference for light or dark wood please do write that in the comment section of your order, and we'll do our best—but we are limited by what we have in stock, and by the availability of the wood itself.
Jacquie hand crafts these boxes in batches, in between her schoolwork (she's working on a Masters degree). When we run out, it may be a little while before there are more boxes to ship. But if you do have to wait, trust me, it's worth it :-).
