Chenille needles have a sharp point and a long eye. They are thick to make space in the fabric for thicker threads. This #22 needle is a little bigger all the way around than what I usually use. If you're struggling with threading a thicker thread, this needle might just do the trick. Be aware, it will also be a little more difficult to pull through many layers of fabric if you are big stitch hand quilting. You'll definitely want needle grips and/or pullers.
When threads are too thick for the Bohin #9 Crewel needle or even the John James #24, this is a good option.
This package contains 6 needles.
