Tilda's Jubilee 2024 collection is so much fun!!! The colors are a bit cleaner/clearer than in her previous collection (Hibernation) but they are just the right amount of bright.
One of the things I love about Tilda's designs is how well they mix with other fabrics in my stash and Jubilee is no exception. I used a lot of the Tilda fabrics in the background of Steve's Birds, and I'm pretty sure that these will fit right in. I can't wait to get my fabric washed and up on the design wall!
The bundle of 20 fat quarters includes a mix of 8 different prints colored with blue, teal, mustard, off-white, and red. The designs are mostly florals plus some birds. One print features a circus elephant, a tree in a teacup, a dancer with an umbrella, monkeys, squirrels, birds, and more—which sounds a little over-the-top but I think it will cut up nicely.
I wash and dry all my new fabric before sewing, and these are no exception. The video below explains why I always wash my fabric.
