Wool Applique the Piece O' Cake Way
Say hello to Wool Applique, the Piece O' Cake Way!
Wool is a sumptuous fabric. The colors are rich, the texture is inviting. Wool is particularly interesting when it is mixed with cotton and/or linen fabrics, as we do in this book. Inside you will find 12 cheerful projects that include wall quilts (small and large), a foot warmer for the bed, small kitchen quilts, a table runner, a zippered pouch, and more. Click here to see a video showing you whats inside the book.

This book is full of helpful information and pretty patterns that both beginners and more experienced sewers are sure to enjoy. You will find many helpful tips on the nature of wool and how to applique it.
We recommend that you applique wool shapes with a blanket stitch and either wool or perle cotton thread. This keeps the focus on the applique itself, rather than on the stitches used to sew the shapes down. Included are detailed illustrations for how to sew a blanket stitch, and how to sew neat and tidy inner and outer points.
We found that fusing wool applique shapes with Soft Fuse Premium works very well. And, just lately, I have found that the In The Patch glue stick is a good choice for those who prefer not to fuse. Click here to see a video on this subject.
Appliqueing with wool is both fast and satisfying. It looks lovely, especially when combined with prints. Try it—we think you'll love it!
